Plunger-diaphragm pumps of PDN type are designed for pumping-out stratal liquid of high viscosity and with an increased content of mechanical impurities from production oil wells having a minimum inner diameter of the casing of 114 or 121,7 mm.
The working position of the pump is the vertical one. Tolerable angle of deviation from the vertical position – not more than 30.
Climatic version V, location category 5 as per GOST 15150-69.
Structurally, the pumps comprise two parts: the upper part - hydraulic cylinder which accommodates a working pair consisting of the cylinder and rod-plunger and the bottom part which is made up of diaphragm tanks in a quantity from 1 up to 3 tanks depending on the pump version.
While the rod-plunger moves upward, the action of suction takes place.
While the rod-plunger moves downward, the stratal liquid under the action of the rod string weight is extruded into the oil-well tubing and further towards to the collector.
The pumps may be operated over the wide range of capacities depending on the limit number of double strokes per minute.
The pumps have no their own drive. In the capacity of the drive one should use a rocker-machine of any type which ensures the working stroke of the rod-plunger and the quantity of double strokes.
The delivery set includes an automatic coupling device intended to connect (disconnect) the rod string to the pump tail during pump assembly (disassembly) at the well site.
At the Consumer's request, in addition to the pump delivery set provision shall be made for the filter or filter-gas separator, or tubing sub.
The filter is designed for the primary purification of the liquid at the pump intake port from mechanical particles, and is specified with a maximum cross-section more than 8 mm.
The filter – gas separator is designed for the liquid filtration and liberation of gases at the pump intake port.
The tubing sub is intended for installing the oil well tubing below the admission part of the pump in order to reduce ingress of mechanical particles into the pump in case of their high content in the stratal liquid.
