Function

Marine screw pumps of 2ВВ type and electric pump units on their base are intended for pumping sea water and fresh water with admixture of petroleum products, with content of mechanical non-abrasive impurities of up to 2,5% by weight and the size of the particles not more than 0,2 mm on application at the separation units of the marine ships with unlimited region of navigation.

Pumps of А1 2VV type are related to the II item group, aspect I (repairable) GOST 27.003-90, are manufactured in climatic version ОМ, location category 3 as per GOST 15150-69. At the Customer's request the pumps are manufactured in version ОМ location category 5.


Design

The unit consists of twin-screw pump and electric motor, mounted on a common foundation frame. Pump is driven through the flexible coupling.

Design of the electric pump unit and its attachment to the foundation provide free access to the gland.

Pump – positive displacement machine, horizontal.

Arranged in the bores of the casing are two synchronously revolving rotors. Rotation from the driving rotor is transmitted to the driven one via the timing gears. Rotors are supported by bearings taken outside the hydraulic part of the pump.

Working chamber of the pump is closed by covers and the shafts are sealed by soft gland of single-layer stuffing material, type LP 6х6 as per GOST 5152-84 or by end-face bellows seal.

At the Customer's request the units may be completed by soft start device, frequency converter, control & protection systems regulating pressure at the inlet and outlet of the pump, bearings' temperature and rotational speed.
