Function

Centrifugal pumps CN 160/112 and CN 90/100 series and electric pump units on their base are intended for pumping fuels for jet engines in the pure state as per GOST 10227-86, GOST 12308-89 or with crystallization liquids up to 0,3% by mass (TGF – GOST 17477-86, TGFM – TU6-10-1457- 79, I – GOST 8313-88 and I-М TU 6-10-1457-79, motor spirit GOST 2084-77, aviation spirit GOST 1012-72 and diesel fuel GOST 305-82), and also water and other liquids similar to water at viscosity and chemical activity.

Pumps are repairable items of aspect 1 as per GOST 27.003-90.

Pumps and units are designed according to safety requirements as per GOST R 52743-2007.

Pumps (units) are admitted to handle liquids of IIА, IIV categories and Т1, Т2, Т3, Т4 explosibility groups as per GOST R 51330.19. It is admitted to instal electric pumps in explosion hazard zones of classV-Iа, V-Ib, V-Ig, V-IIА according to classification in Regulations for the Design and Construction of Electrical Installations .


Design

CN pump - is centrifugal, double-suction ,horizontal , single-stage pump with double supply of the liquid to the impeller and with volute discharge.

The pump case has a joint in the horizontal plane passing through the rotor axis. The case cover extends the configuration of the case ducts.

For pumps CN 90/100, CN 90/100-Е, CN 160/112, CN 160/112-Е, CN 160/112-1, CN 160/112-Е-1( with bottom position of branch pipes) in the top of the case cover there is a hole М16х1,5 for connecting a vacuum pump or for linking up a vacuum treatment system.

For pumps CN 160/112-2, CN 160/112-Е-2, CN 160/112-3, CN 160/112-Е-3 (with top position of branch pipes) the hole for connecting a vacuum pump or for linking up a vacuum treatment system is installed on delivery branch pipe.

The main sense of rotation of the pump rotor is counter-clockwise left-handed (for pumps with bottom position of branch pipes) or clockwise right-handed (for pumps with top position of branch pipes). At the Customer's request the pumps with opposite rotation of the rotor, pumps with top position of branch pipes -with device for fastening and drive of tachometer sensor may be manufactured.

To prevent leakage of liquid over the shaft, provision is made in the pump for the end-face seal : single end-face seal with an auxiliary or double end-face seal.

Impeller – is of a double-entry type, thus, basically, it allows placing axial thrusts in equilibrium. The residual axial thrusts are taken up by the radial thrust bearings.
