Function

The centrifugal СD pumps and electric pump units on their base are designed for pumping urban and industrial sewage waters and other non-aggressive liquids ( including liquids with petroleum products admixture not exceeding 2%), at a density of up to 1050 kg/m3 with рН=6 - 8,5, at a temperature of up to 353К (80°С) and with a content of abrasive particles having a dimension of up to 5 mm, and not over 1% by mass. The maximum concentration of the pumped mass is 2%. The maximum content of the gas in the handled medium is 5%.

The pumps may be used in other productions as well, if their parameters and modifications meet service conditions and safety engineering concerns of such productions. The pump (units) are related to the products of general purpose, aspect I (repairable ones) as per GOST 27.003-90 and are fabricated in climatic version UXL for location category 3.1 and in climatic version Т, location category 2 as per GOST 15150-69. The pumps and units are intended for the regions with seismic activity of up to 7 points inclusive on the MSK-64 scale.

The pumps and units have been executed in explosion-and-fire hazard premises.


Design

The pumps of CD type – are centrifugal, horizontal, cantilevered, with gland seal of the shaft.

The casing of the pump is an iron casting, the internal cavity of which is made a spiral bleed (branch line) passing into the delivery branch pipe. The delivery branch pipe – is sideways (lateral) one which is executed inside the casing in the same plane with the axis of rotation (vertically). In dependence on conditions of assembly and operation the delivery branch pipe may be turned for 90°, 180° or 270°.

The inlet branch pipe is executed in the casing cover along the axis of rotation (horizontally). The cover of the casing is bolted to the casing and is sealed by gasket. The bracket is attached to the casing of the pump by way of studs.

Hyadraulic waterlock and cooling of the gland seal is ensured by way of supplying pure water to the sealing zone, with a pressure exceeding that one at the inlet port for not less than 0,1 – 0,15 МPа (1 – 1,5 kgf/сm2).

Impeller – is the centrifugal, single-entry impeller of closed type. The supple of liquid to the impeller is an axial one.

The rotor of the pump is put in rotation by electric motor via coupling with rubber-bushed studs. It is admitted to use other types of couplings. Two radial bearings installed in the bracket are served as rotor supports. Bearings are lubricated by consistent grease Litol 24 GOST21150-87.

The sense of rotation of the rotor is right-handed (clockwise), as viewed from the motor end.

In the bottom portion of the casing there is an open closed by plug for draining the residue of liquid during shutdown of the pump for a prolonged time period. Executed in the bracket is an opening intended for removal of liquid leakage along the gland seal. In the top portion of the casing there is an opening, closed by plug, which is meant for releasing an air in the course of priming the pump and suction line with liquid to be pumped.

  • the main consumers and users of  the said pump units are: enterprises of heavy equipment industry, urban water utilities, thermal el. stations and others facilities
  • the pump unit may be used for irrigation of gardens and kitchen gardens if individual farms
  • for transfer and drainage of sewer drains at the industrial enterprises including the enterprises of the metallurgical and oil processing industries
  • in drainage systems for sewage treatment
  •  in water disposal systems of sewer drains of industrial and economic facilities  ( housing and public utilities, municipal water & sewer  enterprises)

  • the casing of the pumps are provided with their own support foots: thus allowing to dismantle the pump without disconnecting the pipelines
